MIND BODY SOULUTIONS
AN INDEPENDENT COUNSELING GROUP
Kaylee's Story
Kaylee’s interest in the mental health field first began when she took a psychology class in highschool, with a passionate teacher whose excitement for the topic made her passionate as well. She majored in psychology and minored in ethics in her undergraduate degree. She started working in psychology research labs focusing on disparities in the medical system and chronic pain challenges, but knew she wanted more direct collaboration with clients. This led her to pursue her Master’s in Social Work at Western Michigan University, where she also earned a certificate in Mindfulness and Centering Skills. During her MSW, she gained experience working in a residential substance use disorder unit, facilitating groups and working individually with client’s in recovery. She also gained private practice experience being an intern here at Mind Body Soulutions.

Outside of work, Kaylee enjoys drinking good coffee, making pottery, reading a good book, and snuggling with her cats. She prioritizes connecting with the people and activities that bring her joy, being intentional about doing the same things that she works with clients to do in their lives.

Kaylee is passionate about working with children and adults who are experiencing complicated grief, anxiety, depression, navigating challenging relationship dynamics, and healing from emotionally abusive relationships. She enjoys working with people to have more self-compassion and self-efficacy to take back control over their story.
