3.

Child & Adolescent Therapy

Working with children/adolescents and their families to provide psycho-education on developmental stages and enhance social emotional regulation skills to improve thought and behavior through adventure based, play & art therapy techniques.

Use of The Office Pines Park grounds local DW Richardson park/recreation area is sometimes utilized for children and teen sessions to aid in rapport and participation.  In my experience children and teens become more open and engaging in a format that removes boundaries such as an office.

Mental Health Professionals

I always say, "Every good therapist needs a good therapist"

That is why I recognize above and beyond it is important to break stigmas that may prevent mental health professionals from seeking treatment of their own. While supervision is offered for licensing it is also important to recognize mental health goes farther than the profession and into our personal lives. As a professional clinician we invest so much into our clients and it is important to remind ourselves that we are only human too. We must take care of ourselves first and foremost to be a grounding influence in our clients wellness journey.

Getting Help

Reaching out in a time of need is not easy. If willing it is the first step in finding healing and acceptance of our past wounds. This journey will then allow us to be fully loving and engaged in our present. It takes courage and strength to step into vulnerability and that is where the work is done. My goal is to work together with clients to improve physical, emotional and mental health for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families focusing on the mind - body connection using a person-centered, holistic and trauma focused approach.

My body has experienced so much trauma, chronic pain and stress. Your classes allow me to have that release, find that vulnerability to feel in a healthier way
