My focus is on a wide range of issues with teens, adults and couples from a variety of backgrounds who are searching for ways to improve their lives one step at a time. My Bachelor of Arts education is grounded in the area of writing and communications with a passion for the narratives of people lives and experiences within our community. Something felt like it was missing, though.

As someone who has experienced parental loss, and difficult relationship dynamics I began to write my own narrative through personal work which deepened my passion for helping others through their own healing journey and the effects of trauma.

My graduate education and experience is based in research and clinical understanding and application to treatment with a specialization in trauma across the lifespan. Additional education and training in Internal Family Systems, Attachment and Gottman Method, CBT and an understanding of neurodiverse populations.

Therapuetically creating a safe space for individuals to process and find meaning in their story and develop healthy coping skills and insights that enhance their lives and relationships.

I am thrilled to be part of the Mind Body Soulutions team as a Master of Social Work Intern. Currently a student at Michigan State University, I've developed a strong foundation in understanding and empathizing with diverse experiences. I believe that healing and growth happen when individuals are heard and valued within a safe and supportive environment.

As a board-certified music therapist, I bring with me a wealth of experience from hospice and medical settings where I've worked with individuals of all ages. I have been particularly drawn to providing solace and support to those navigating grief and have had the privilege of guiding grieving children, teens, and adults through their healing journeys in my previous Master of Social Work internship.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I'm an avid reader, music enthusiast, and artist. These personal pursuits mirror my belief in the importance of creative expression as a way to nourish the soul.

At Mind Body Soulutions, I'm excited to combine my music therapy background with the principles of social work to create a space where compassion, empathy, and creative expression intertwine. I'm dedicated to fostering a space where clients can explore their feelings, triumphs, and challenges, all while nurturing their own innate strengths.

I was born and raised in small-town rural West Michigan by my mother and with my sister, where I began my professional social work career. Work then led me to urban West Michigan for several years and then to Southwest Michigan, where my two daughters and I currently reside with our horses, dog, and barn cats.

My educational background in early childhood development and social work experience mentoring children/adolescents, in-home therapy to individuals and families and completed an internship as an adoption case manager & 14 years working in foster care and child abuse & neglect investigator.

Whatever you may be questioning or struggling with there are a variety of therapeutic approaches we can use based on your individual goals. I place the highest importance on you as an individual, respecting your inherent dignity and worth and will create a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic environment to help in assisting you along this healing journey. I utilize aspects of psychosomatic, social emotional and  trauma informed approaches to address individual and relationship issues.
